Long Term Market Research Metrics and British Rail

In my opinion, a very good article in the New York Times today about why privatization has proved such a bad idea of British Rail. The article uses a reasonable amount of market research data and it makes me think about valuable it is to use such survey data over the longer term to judge the outcomes of major political initiatives – such as the privatization of the railways, Brexit, climate change policy and so on.
