New methods

“I skate to where the puck is going to be, not to where it has been.”

Wayne Gretzky, quoted by Steve Jobs while unveiling the iPhone, 2007

Around the world, digital technologies are transforming how people communicate with each other, and are transforming the practice of marketing, advertising and market research.  These changes imply substantial opportunities, and threats, for pharmaceutical market research agencies.

We can help as catalysts for pharmaceutical research agencies in adopting these new technologies.

These technologies can be applied for both qualitative and quantitative research, and include online qualitative interviewing, online branded communities, mobile phone research and creative quantitative techniques. As ‘the world becomes flat’, there becomes a change of emphasis in how we analyse research data between global perspectives and regional variations.

Part of our mission is to keep abreast on the methodological and professional implications of these new technologies. In July 2011, in consultation with CASRO, ESOMAR released their professional guidelines on social media research.
