There are some great companies out there. Here are details of a number of marketing and technology organizations that we use, or are connected with, along with some personal comments about new product offerings:

  • All Global is a leading international pharmaceutical fieldwork agency which has a sweet spot for conducting payor research. In 2012, they released their latest payor and global healthcare reports as ebooks.
  • Blurb is worth considering if you have syndicated reports you want to sell. They offer delivery as an ebook for viewing on iPads, as well as high-quality hard copy options. It’s just a matter of setting your profit levels and they take care of distribution and payment. Along with the Conservation Foundation, we recently made available for sale a 20-year-old report we conducted about the 1992 Earth Summit.
  • Brainshark, including their cost-effective myBrainshark offering, can provide a great way of communicating research, and selling services. In October 2011, they launched their free SlideShark app which is designed to allow Powerpoint presentations to be viewed on an iPad.
  • Civicom provides the technical services, but not the samples, to conduct a wide range of virtual survey approaches, at an affordable price, right around the world. In February 2012, they made many more case studies available through their Download Center, which is now accessible through a registration process. Rebecca West, Vice President of Business Development, spoke at the Market Research in the Mobile World Conference on April 19th 2012, (13.50) Amsterdam about “Getting to “WHY?”- using mix and match mobile technologies to gain heuristic insights in the moment.”
  • Deschamps Market Research, run by Lisa Deschamps, has provided excellent project management support and, with her bilingual capabilities, is well-placed to assist with Canadian qualitative fieldwork.
  • Medefield is a leading supplier of international doctor samples with a recent focus on their capabilities in Asia. At the end of 2011, they offered webinars on conducting healthcare research in China and India (hyperlink lead to recorded Indian webinar). Along with All Global and 3M USA, they launched the Trust Alliance in November 2011 to promote best practice in online physician research.
  • Moor Consulting was started formally in 2010, yet I have worked with James and Ursula Ambler for many years for project management support and design. An area of current collaboration is combining SPSS statistical analysis with data visualization outputs. Talk to us about how we use dashboard visualization with conjoint analysis!
  • Pricing Solutions is an international consultancy with leading experience and competencies in the area of pricing. They work for clients across many sectors, including healthcare. In May 2011, along with Healthviews, they published a white paper on Canadian Healthcare Payers (pdf). Pricing Solutions corporate headquarters are located in Toronto.
  • Research Now is a company we have used many times over the last ten years, and offers international online consumer samples, with rigorous field disciplines, for quantitative projects.
  • The Research Partnership was started by former Isis Research colleagues Mark Jeffery and Mary Assimakopoulos in 1997 and has grown to an impressive global healthcare research agency. Since 2008 they have developed an international, continuous, real-time, tracking service of patient data across a number of therapy areas. This service had been called TherapyKnowledge, but from the start of 2012, was rebranded to be called RP Therapy Watch. In Canada, data for RA and HCV is available.
  • SPSS is a leader at providing statistical analysis software, and we use their software for viewing and editing data sets, running tables and undertaking advanced statistical analysis. The key new features of IBM SPSS 20, released in August 2011, are a new geographical map feature, faster tables and more advanced modeling capabilities for customer satisfaction type data. More details about our capabilities with SPSS may be found at our Tables & Analytics section of our website. IBM SPSS provides useful resources in terms of a developer’s community, a Passport Advantage program, eCustomer Care and online case study materials.
  • Transcription Global is a high quality and reliable outsourcing company for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
